SAME DEUTZ-FAHR and GREGOIRE A/S reach an agreement

Treviglio, 29 June 2011 - SAME DEUTZ-FAHR (SDF), leading manufacturer of agricultural tractors, combine harvesters, engines and farm machinery, has reached an agreement with Gregoire A/S, a Norwegian firm, for the contemplated acquisition of Grégoire SAS (“Grégoire”) subject to shareholder and potential regulatory approvals.

Grégoire, based in Chateaubernard, Cognac (France), manufactures and distributes principally grape harvesting machines but also sprayers – as well as mechanisation of olive harvesting. Besides, it distributes a wide range of products for the vineyard mechanisation - pre-pruners, shredders, trimmers, leaf removers and debudders.

Grégoire’s products are recognised as world technology leaders for their reliability, productivity and low maintenance cost. The company has a world market share of 35% and a global distribution network with a presence in 25 countries. Grégoire employs 180 people and has revenues of around 40 million Euro per year.

SDF, with the contemplated acquisition of Grégoire, completes an outstanding offering for the specialist range, providing a unique solution for the most demanding wine producers.
